How we cope with stress and hardship to maintain our sense of balance and positivity can take on many forms. Exploring creative outlets, the pursuit of hobbies and other pastimes help us clear our minds, express our artistic side and purge pent up stress and negativity. One of the positive trends we’ve seen over the past year in particular; is the growing number of artisans and craftspeople turning to epoxy resin for both expressive artwork creation; as well as designing and building DIY projects such as home furnishings and accessories. Tackling these tasks leads to an improved mind, body and spirit. And studies have shown that people with a positive outlook are happier, have better mental and physical health, and even a stronger immune system!
Some people pursue creative activities as a hobby, while for others it’s how they make their living. At times, we create just for creativity’s sake – the mood just “hits” us. The desire to build and create seems to be innate in human beings. Our sense of expressing ourselves in the items we conceive and bring to fruition needs to be fulfilled. It’s part of who we are, and how we keep ourselves humming along both mentally and physically!
