Butane artist/chef torches are often used to remove bubbles that may form in resin as it begins to cure—otherwise, these bubbles will cure into the finished piece. The flame from the torch heats the resin, thinning it and allowing the bubbles to escape. A heat gun may be used as well—but may make it harder to direct the heat precisely where you want it to go.
