Ocean Rhapsody Epoxy Resin Coffee Table by Carrie Hullar & Spool Table by Gina Parris

Business partners Carrie Hullar and Gina Parris have an art business called Rainbow Works Fine Arts LLC located in North Georgia. They specialize in various forms of colorful art including resin poured paintings, acrylic paintings, photography Encaustic paintings, and pottery. They each shared a piece to our contest, and explained their creative processes:

“This entry is a poured resin painting using ProMarine tabletop epoxy resin. I used Jacquard powder pigments and Eye Candy Custom powder pigments mixed in my resin to create this one-of-a-kind piece of art on a solid wood 24-inch round. I then applied a second layer of ProMarine resin. Once dried and cured, I then added hairpin legs to turn this into a unique and colorful coffee table. I call this creation ‘Ocean Rhapsody.’” ~ Carrie Hullar

“I am attaching some photos of a table I made using ProMarine Tabletop Epoxy Resin. The table was created using a wooden spool used to hold electrical wire. I sanded down the spool and did an acrylic pour painting technique. Once it was dry, I added hand embellishments with acrylic paint. After I allowed it to dry and cure, I then sealed the piece in two layers of ProMarine Tabletop Epoxy Resin. I live only 5 minutes from Lake Lanier and draw much of my inspiration for my paintings from the lake and also from the beautiful mountains here in North Georgia.” ~ Gina Parris

JoAnne Taylor Epoxy Resin Skateboard

“Pro Marine epoxy resin has inspired me to turn skateboard decks into art! So many Decks are covered in a boring decal. I hand paint my Decks and cover each in layers of Pro Marine resin to create waves, layers and depth. For this piece, I hand painted an abstract beach using acrylic paints. Then, I layered in deeper color using Pro Marine resin mixed with pigments. And finally, I added layers of white waves using epoxy resin, craft paint and just a tiny touch of alcohol inks. These are so fun to make, and I love seeing them on the walls of my customers – the artwork is stunning and elegant thanks to Pro Marine Epoxy Resin, with a touch of skate deck sass!” ~ JoAnne Taylor

Epoxy Resin Bath Counter & Backsplash by Mary Harris

“This is a spalted maple countertop and backsplash in our bathroom! Quite utilitarian in nature and maybe not too creative, but the shine is out of this world! I used a combination of your deep pour (for the river) and tabletop (finish coats) epoxy resins to create this countertop. So difficult to take a picture with all the reflections! Forever customer!” ~ Mary Harris!
